News hey everyone, some of you already know that cultgaming.co.uk suffered a major spam attack which i found out about this evening. i've spent the best part of my evening trying to delete all the spam and restore some sense of normality back to the site.

thankfully i think i've finished now. there's no prizes for guessing who's responsible but at least it's all fixed.

Hardware : Dell to put your photos in laptop lids
Posted by Proji. on 2007/7/24 0:11:05 (reads 877)

Hardware Forget merely buying a laptop in "bubblegum pink" or "sunshine yellow" - Dell is planning to offer customers the chance to embed their own photos in a laptop's casing.
The company last month discarded its conservative design policy, and launched a new Inspiron range with laptops sold in eight different colours.

But that's only the start of its customisation plans, according to an interview given by Dell strategist, Jeff Morris.

"Imagine being able to buy a notebook... [where] the LCD back potentially has a picture of your family, or has maybe the logo of your football team," Morris told the Sydney Morning Herald. "And not a sticker, it's embossed or embedded into the notebook."

Morris also claims that customers may be able to have their name and address laser etched into the base or lid of the notebook.

At last month's launch, the company's director of marketing, Joe Curley, claimed "you're seeing a Dell in transformation." It looks like that might be more than marketing hype.

Hardware Nvidia has launched one of the most eagerly anticipated GPUs to date, the 8600 - and PC Pro has put two new cards through our extensive tests.

With previous mid-range GeForce GPUs garnering huge praise for offering great performance at very reasonable prices, the new chip has much to live up to. At launch there are two flavours of GeForce 8600 - the GTS and the GT - with the former being the faster chip.
